What can I do if I cannot modify the disk volume label?

Today I modified my disk volume label and found a problem. How to change it still shows the previous volume label name. What is going on here? I thought about what settings I have made recently. I suddenly thought that in order to turn off the disk "autoplay" function a few days ago, I stopped the Shell Hardware Detection. Is this the problem?

So what is the Shell Hardware Detection service?

The Shell Hardware Detection System Service is used to monitor and provide notifications for AutoPlay hardware events. This service is not required for a baseline server policy.

Then icecj will start the Shell Hardware Detection system service step by step:

1. Start→Run→Enter “services.msc”;

2. Select the service Shell Hardware Detection option, double-click to open;

3, change the startup type to "automatic", and then click the "start" button;

4, click the "OK" or "Apply" button, Save your changes.

Note: If you close the Shell Hardware Detection service, the response will be accelerated, but the time to enter the desktop will be extended. It is recommended to turn this service on and set it to "Automatic".
