How to retrieve the input method status bar?

Many friends have encountered such a situation - when they want to input Chinese characters, they suddenly find that their input method status bar is gone, and they cannot input Chinese characters. What to do about this? Below I will briefly introduce the reasons for the disappearance of the input method status bar and the recovery method.

First, the reason for the disappearance of the input method status bar

In general, there are many reasons for the input method status bar to disappear, the common reasons are as follows:

1. I accidentally removed the hook in front of the "Show other language bar icons in the taskbar" in the language bar settings.

2. Some non-mainstream input methods are installed, such as "stroke input method" and "Martian input plug-in". In the Chinese input state, the input method status bar will disappear inexplicably. .

3. Some users installed Microsoft Pinyin Input Method 2003 (or 2007) under XP. These two input methods not only conflict with each other, but also conflict with many other softwares, and also conflict with the 7600Gs graphics card driver. Will cause the input method status bar to disappear. Even with the explorer conflict, Microsoft Pinyin input method 2003 (or 2007) state in the task manager to end the explorer process may appear "explorer.exe - application error", the system appears suspended animation.

4. Installed MS Office, and later uninstalled, Office will install a ctfmon.exe text service tool when installing, and install your own input method. However, ctfmon.exe is not automatically deleted after uninstalling Office. So the problem arises, or the input status bar disappears, or the default input is always Chinese.

5. Virus problems. This is more difficult to explain.

Second, find the input method status bar

The following are the steps to restore the input method status bar for the above reasons:

1. The most basic recovery method, open the control In the panel, "Regional and Language Options", select the "Language" tab, click "Details", click the "Language Bar" button in the new tab that opens (if the language bar button is gray, jump directly to the third Step), select "Show language bar on the desktop" and "Show other language bar icons in the taskbar" (as shown in the figure), the language bar will appear, but this method may expire after the system restarts.

2. Unload all non-mainstream input methods, including the Microsoft Pinyin input method, and then proceed to the first step.

3. After running the "ctfmon" command from the start menu, after restarting the system, you will find that the input method icon reappears, and all the installed input methods will be displayed, but you can't use the keyboard alone. Switch between different input methods. The solution is to right-click the input method icon, click "Settings" (the pop-up window is the same as the first step), "Key Settings", "Change Button Order" button, and then "Switch Input Language" Check the "Switch keyboard layout" checkbox, and finally set the left-hand Alt or right-hand Alt according to your personal habits, and click the "OK" button to exit. Click "Advanced" in the text service and tick "Enable Advanced Text Service".

4. If the third step is not successful, there is actually one of the easiest methods. It is through the start menu to run the "internat" command, which is the standard input method for Windows 98 and Windows me, and the active area in the lower right corner of the taskbar. If the input method status bar does not come out, you can also use the Chinese input method.

5. For the problems caused by Microsoft Pinyin input method, it is more troublesome to solve. If you don't want this input method, please run the regedit command to open the registry, locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\

Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run, delete the three key values of IMJPMIG8.1, PHIME2002ASync, PHIME2002A. . Restart the system to take effect. Also note that ctfmon cannot be deleted. If you want to keep the Microsoft Pinyin input method, then wait for Microsoft's next patch to solve the problem.

6. Virus problem, it is recommended to first complete the anti-virus, and then carry out the above operations except the fifth step.
