Fault 3. System login user password forgot

[Fault phenomenon] Some people often change the system login password of Windows XP yesterday when they use the computer. Today they forget the password and lock themselves. In the "outside".

[Troubleshooting] Restart the computer, press the F8 key to bring up the advanced boot options menu, select "Safe Mode with Command Line", and click "administrator" to enter the command line mode. Enter the command: "net user system login user name 123456 /add", forcibly change the password of the system login user to "123456". Or enter the command "net user aaaa 123456 /add" to create a user aaaa (password is 123456), and then enter the "net localgroup administrators abcdef /add" command to promote user aaaa to the system administrator. After restarting the computer, you can log in to the system normally with the changed password "123456".

Note: The above method cannot retrieve the password, only the password. If the hard disk uses EFS encryption, it will destroy EFS encryption and cause data loss.

Fault 4. Windows XP restarts when entering the system

[Fault phenomenon] Because the kernel32.dll file is missing or corrupted, Windows XP restarts after halfway to boot, there is no way to enter system.

[Fault Analysis] For this type of situation, simply replace it with a normal file or restore it back to solve the problem.

[Troubleshooting] Put the Windows XP installation CD into the CD, start the Recovery Console, at the command prompt, type cd system32 and press Enter; then enter ren kernel32.dll kernel32.old and back Car; enter the map and press Enter; finally enter expand x:i386kernel32.dl_ and press Enter ("x:" is the CD-ROM drive letter), extract the kernel32.dl_ file from the CD to the hard disk and replace the damaged kernel32 .dll file. Enter "exit" and press Enter to restart the computer to start Windows XP.

Fault 5. The registry is damaged and the system cannot be started normally.

[Fault] Due to various reasons, the Windows XP registry is damaged and Windows XP cannot be started normally. [Fault Analysis] Registry damage is a very common situation. Just launch the Recovery Console, delete the original registry file with the delete command, and copy the registry files from the Windows XP installation CD\\windows\ epair directory to the System32\\Config folder. After completing this process, a new registry will be created and Windows XP will start using this new registry. The fly in the ointment is that the new registry was created and saved during the initial installation of Windows XP, so any changes and settings made after the Windows XP installation is complete will be lost.

[Troubleshooting] Enter the Recovery Console, put the Windows XP installation CD into the CD-ROM drive (x:), type the following lines, and press the Enter key after each line:

delete c:\\windows\\system32\\config\\system

delete c:\\windows\\system32\\config\\software

delete c:\\windows\\system32\\config\\sam

delete c:\\windows\\system32\\config\\security

delete c:\\windows\\system32\\config\\default

copy x:\\windows\ epair\\system c:\\windows\\ System32\\config\\system

copy x:\\windows\ epair\\software c:\\windows\\system32\\config\\software

copy x:\\windows\ epair\\sam c:\\windows\\ System32\\config\\sam

copy x:\\windows\ epair\\security c:\\windows\\system32\\config\\security

copy x:\\windows\ epair\\default c:\\windows\\ System32\\config\\default
