A: The fault is caused by damage or loss of hal.dll file. Solution: Insert the Windows XP installation CD, in the "Recovery Console", unzip the HAL file matching your computer hardware in the i386 directory on the CD to Windows\\system32, and change the file name to Hal.dll can be.
