Third, Portableapps

Introduction

First of all, I have to introduce the large environment Portableapps of the U disk system. In fact, it is also a green software.

1, PortableApps Suite allows you to run common software such as web browsers, mail clients, office components, anti-virus software, etc. on USB storage devices, independent of the operating system. And backup personal information, etc., should be arguably the operating system on the U disk. If you go to an internet cafe often or don't use a computer, it is very convenient to bring a USB flash drive with your own computer.

2, PortableApps Suite includes Firefox Portable, OpenOffice.org, Thunderbird Portable and many other packages. These kits can be run in any removable storage (U disk, iPod, portable hard drive, etc.) and can be used on any computer with Windows operating system (and Linux). You can also add your own application software, and the backup tool that comes with it can easily back up various data of the document, including Sudoku game, anti-virus software, and instant chat tool. Linux systems need to be installed first.

3, its use is very simple, the U disk is inserted into the USB interface, it will automatically run, click the icon of the system tray will pop up the interface, imitate the interface of the XP start menu. Then click on the software in the list on the left to open the software. You can also DIY, open the PortableApps directory under the U disk, and delete the software you don't want. Or, copy the green software that can be run directly to here, restart, you can see it in the list on the left.

Version Selection

Protableapps has three versions: Base, Lite, Standard. The following is a brief introduction to the software included in the three versions.

1, Base: Only the original startup program is attached. After installation, there is only 1MB, no software is attached. It is recommended that people who prefer to choose their own software or those who are smaller than U disk.

2, Standard for 512MB U disk system:

3, Lite: Compared to the above version, AbiWord Portable (word processing software) instead of OpenOffice.org Portable, suitable for 256MB U disk.
