Fully exploit 20% of the system bandwidth hidden in the xp system

  

In the xp system, in order to ensure the security and stability of the system, the system will automatically retain 20% of the system bandwidth, for users who use the computer normally These reservations are actually unnecessary. We can fully exploit this part of the broadband and let it be used by us.

The method for modifying the Windows XP system is as follows:

1. Click Start → Run, type: gpedit.msc, and click the [OK] button, you can see Figure 1. “Group Policy” window.

2. Under the “Computer Configuration” item, click Open: Administrative Templates - Network - QoS Packet Scheduler; then on the right side of the window, find "Restrictions." Retain bandwidth>, right click on the item; in the pop-up menu, click “properties & rdquo;, you will see the "Limit to retain bandwidth properties" window shown in Figure 2.

3. In the & ldquo; set & rdquo; tab we can see: WindowsXP system default & ldquo; bandwidth limits & rdquo; the value is 20%. Change it to 0 or a smaller number such as 5%. Click the “Allow” button; then click the [OK] button to save the new settings to your computer.

Release the 20% of the system broadband hidden in the xp system, not only can make full use of resources, achieve system optimization, but also quickly increase the speed of our Internet.
