Teach you to install Filezillaserver

FileZilla is a free and open source FTP client software, divided into a client version and a server version, with all FTP software features. The controllable, organized interface and simplified way of managing multiple sites make Filezilla Client a convenient and efficient FTP client tool, while FileZilla Server is a small and reliable FTP server software that supports FTP&SFTP. This tutorial will lead you to learn how to install Filezillaserver.

1. Official download

2. Install by default.

3, first to set the server global parameters: point & ldquo; Edit & rdquo; menu, select “ Settings & rdquo;

General settings (regular settings):

Listen on Port : The listening port is actually the connection port of the FTP server.

Max.Number of users: The maximum number of concurrently connected clients allowed.

Number of Threads: Processing threads. That is the CPU priority level. The higher the value is, the higher the priority is. Generally, the default is OK.

The following are the timeout settings, from top to bottom: connection timeout, transmission idle timeout, login timeout. The unit is seconds.

The Welcome message page sets the Welcome message that is displayed after the client logs in successfully. It is recommended not to use the software default, because no software can guarantee that there are no loopholes. If the software name is exposed here, once the FTP Server software has any security vulnerabilities, people with ulterior motives know that the name of the server software may be targeted. attack. Therefore, it is recommended that the information set here do not contain any server data.

IP Filter (IP Filter) page, set IP filtering rules, IP in the above column is forbidden, the following is allowed.

Passive mode settings: This page should be focused on. If the server itself has a public IP address, you can choose the software default "Default".

If the server is in the LAN, behind a gateway, then select the second item "Use the follwoing IP", and fill in the IP address of the public network in the input field below; otherwise, the client The FTP server may not be connected in PASV passive mode. Because the server is in the internal network, when the client connects to the server using PASV mode, the server needs to inform the client of its own IP address after receiving the connection request. Since the server detects the IP address in the internal network, On the intranet (such as 192.168.0.5), it hands this IP address to the client, and the client naturally cannot connect. After setting the specified IP address here, the server will submit the legal IP address of the public network to the client, so that the connection can be established normally.

If the server is dynamic IP, you can choose the following "Retrieve external IP address from", use the IP query page provided by the official FileZilla website to obtain the legal IP of the public network at the time, and then the server will take this public The legal IP address of the network is submitted to the client. Of course, static IP can also use this, but it is not necessary.

This setup page is very important for the server to be on the intranet. Some FTP server terminals do not have this setting item, and the client can only connect in Port Active mode. Of course, some client software has special settings for this problem. For example, in FlashFXP's site settings, just select "Passive mode to use site IP".

For servers in the LAN, if the server is not placed in the DMZ zone, it is strongly recommended to select the following “Use custom port range> to define the PASV port range. Because of the PASV mode, the server randomly opens the port, then tells the client the open port number and lets the client connect to the open port. However, because the server is behind the gateway, if the gateway does not have the corresponding port mapping, the client cannot connect to the port opened by the server from the external network, causing the PASV mode connection to fail. Here, the port range opened by the server is limited, and then to the gateway connected to the external network, port mapping (virtual service) is performed on these ports of the server. This requires the server and Internet gateway device to work together, so that the client of the external network can connect in PASV mode.

Security settings: The two options here are related to FXP. The software default state "Block incoming server-to-server transfers" and "Block outgoing server-to-server transfers" are selected. The previous one is forbidden to connect to the server, and the latter is forbidden. The server is on the pass. That is to say, the default state does not allow FXP, if you need to use FXP, then deselect these two items. Note that the FXP transmission is related to the IP filter in addition to the settings on this page.

Admin Interface setting: This is some parameters for logging in to the configuration server interface. The port number setting also appeared during the installation. The following two columns define the web interface and IP address that allow remote login configuration. Change the administrator password at the bottom.

Logging: Set whether to enable logging and log file size and file name. Previous12Next page Total 2 pages
