A simple solution to the problem that the firewall can not be started

With the development of network technology, the Internet has entered thousands of households. Therefore, the security of the network will become the most concerned issue. Currently, a more effective way to protect internal networks from external intrusions is firewall technology. Many netizens will ask what is a firewall?

In fact, a firewall is a system or a group of systems that enforce access control policies between networks. The actual way of real firewalls is different, but in principle, firewalls can be considered as such a pair of mechanisms. To be fair, firewalls are a bastion to protect computer operating systems, which can keep viruses out of thousands of miles. However, users often find that Windows Firewall cannot be started. This system brings a lot of security risks. The following small series will give users some solutions about Windows Firewall failing to start.

First, the firewall configuration error

Start-->Run-->gpedit.msc

At this time, Group Policy is turned on

on the left Hierarchical expansion

Computer Configuration-->Administrative Template-->Network-->Network Connection-->Windows Firewall

Then here are some of the Group Policy enforcement restrictions Options

Find the configuration you need to enable and then set back "not configured" (

(some software changes to the registry, sometimes not shown in Group Policy , may change after the group policy is still unconfigured, so configure it, then configure it back)

Second, the security center is closed

Firewall enabled options become gray, can not be enabled And with the prompt " Due to security considerations, some settings are controlled by Group Policy"

Run services.msc to open "services"

Set Security Center to automatic and enabled.

Set Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) to Auto and Enable.

Set the Application Layer Gateway Service to automatic and enabled.

If you still can't enable the firewall, perform the following steps:

Run regedit.exe to open the registry and delete the following two items:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \\ SOFTWARE \\ Policies \\ Microsoft \\ WindowsFirewall

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ SOFTWARE \\ Policies \\ Microsoft \\ WindowsFirewall

(At a minimum, find one)

Restart Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) in the service

If you continue to prompt " Certain settings are controlled by Group Policy for security reasons, it will not affect usage. Previous1234Next page Total 4 pages
