Method 2: Use the Powercfg.exe utility to import the power scheme from another Windows XP installation. You can use the Powercfg.exe utility to export a power scheme from a parallel Windows XP installation or from another Windows XP computer and then import it into your original Windows XP installation. To do this, follow these steps: 1. In a new Windows XP parallel installation, or on another Windows XP computer, perform the following steps:
a. Click “Start” and “ ”, type cmd, then click “OK”.
b. At the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
powercfg /export <scheme>> /file <file>
Note: In this command, <scheme> Indicates the power scheme to be saved. In addition, <file> indicates the path to the file name used when saving the power scheme. In the current situation, the file will be saved to the location where the original Windows XP installation files were saved.
2. In the original Windows XP installation, do the following:
