1. The life-saving F8 key leads to the safe mode

To enter the safe mode, just start the computer. While pressing the F8 key, select “Safe Mode” in the Advanced Boot Options menu that appears. In safe mode, Windows XP starts with minimal device drivers, minimal services, and minimal settings, and does not load third-party programs. Therefore, when you encounter a system failure caused by killing viruses, malicious programs, uninstalling stubborn files, etc., you can directly enter the safe mode to save yourself.

2. Check the secrets running behind Windows XP

Windows XP startup speed suddenly slows down, 80% is caused by some self-starting programs or some processes. Enter “msconfig” in the "Run” command to open the “System Configuration Utility", set and disable the system's self-starting program.

5.View System Log

6.Using the Recovery Console

When using the Safe Mode and other startup methods to repair your system, consider using the Recovery Console. However, we need to install it manually (only 7MB of space). First put the Windows XP installation CD into the CD-ROM drive, click "Start → Run”, enter “X:\\I386\\WINNT32.EXE /cmdcons” and enter (X is the CD-ROM drive letter), then A window appears asking if you want to install the Recovery Console. Click “Yes Start the installation. After the installation is complete, the Recovery Console has been integrated into the boot menu. If the system has failed, you can't start it. You can use the Windows XP installation CD to start the computer, choose the option to repair Windows XP, and finally start the Recovery Console.

7. Using System Restore Function

If the system is faulty when installing/uninstalling drivers and software, using System Restore to recover can solve most problems. If you create a restore point before installing the software and drivers, the effect will be better. To start the system restore function of Windows XP, you can click “ Start → All Programs & Rarr; Attachments & Rarr; System Tools & Rarr; System Restore & rdquo; Open & ldquo; System Restore Wizard & rdquo;, then create a restore point on it .
