Folder sorting has a Taoist way to easily extract all file names from a folder.

Sometimes we need to organize all the files in a folder into a folder for easy management and query and printing. It is implemented by copying and pasting, which renames the files in the folder, copies them in an editable state, and then pastes them in other documents. This method works, but for a large number of files in a folder, it is inefficient and must be checked after it is done. Using the DOS redirect command ">" plus Excel's reference to external data functions can be easily and quickly implemented. Suppose we want to extract all the files and folder names in the Windows directory under the C drive. Step 1: In MS-DOS mode of DOS or Windows98, enter the following command: C: Windowsdir>d:1.txt (Enter) Step 2: Open a new ExcelXP spreadsheet and click on the toolbar. Select the "Data" drop-down menu, select the "Import External Data → Import Data" command, open the "Import Data" dialog box, find the 1.txt file under the D drive in the "Look in", click "Open" to enter the text Import Wizard-3 Step 1". Step 3: Select “Separator” in the “Original Data Type” radio button and press “Next” to enter “Text Import Wizard-3 Step 2”. Step 4: In the "Separator" checkbox, select "Semicolon, Comma, Space, Other" and fill in the "." in the space after "Other". Press "Next" to enter the "Text Import Wizard - 3 steps 3". Step 5: Click “Finish”, the “Import Data” dialog box appears, select the “Existing Worksheet” radio button and press “OK”. At this point, you should see 8 columns of data, the first column is the desired "file name". However, the Chinese file name displayed by the DIR command only displays 3 to 4 Chinese characters. Don't worry, look at the 7th column (column G). All the complete file names are here (Figure 4)! Column 8 is The suffix of the file name is convenient for filtering (for Excel2000, the difference is that under the "Data" drop-down menu in the toolbar, the "Get External Data /Import Text File" command is selected). At this point, you can use Excel to edit these file names.
