Improved automatic run window for faster application

In the Windows XP operating system, when you insert a disc, flash drive or other removable storage device, the self-running window shown in Figure 1 will pop up. Here we can select the next step to be performed. This feature is convenient, but one thing is not satisfactory, that is, there is always a lack of custom features, we can not remove the commands that you do not need, you can not add the commands you need. Recently, I found a small tool called Autoplay Repair, which solved this problem perfectly.

Depending on the storage medium and the type of files saved on the storage medium, the operating system displays different commands in the self-running window. This is not because Windows is too smart, but Microsoft has already set up different solutions. Through the various tabs on the software interface (Figure 2), we can "preview" these programs in advance.

Suppose you want to delete the video file from the "Play Windows Media Player" command on the Run window. Go to the "Video files" tab and right click on the Windows Media Play command. “Remove from 'Video files'” can be deleted. In addition, some commands may exist in multiple tags, we can select it in all types of self-running windows by simply selecting “Remove from ALL categories”.

It's easy to add commands. Suppose you want to add the Foxmail command to the self-running window of the image file. Click the “Add Autoplay Handler” button in the “Images” tab to open the dialog shown in Figure 3 and enter it in “Action” Enter the command name, enter the explanation about the command in "Provider", and then click “&hlquo;” in the “Application” select Foxmail's main program, “Arguments” is the running parameters of the program, if not Do not change the original default text, then click “Icon” select an icon, and finally click “Apply”

In addition, the software can also cancel the self-running of any drive letter, open the "Disable Autoplay" label, remove the check before the drive letter, click "Apply".
