IE browser favorites tips talk about

Internet Explorer has a favorite, we can easily use some of the frequently visited websites into it, the next time you visit, you can choose directly, it is convenient for us. Fool users. However, the author sat down and carefully studied the IE collection and found that it can be used for us to complete some little-known but very useful functions. Here, I will list the IE collection tips I have found and share them with you.

1, your favorites with

I believe we must be on the Internet! (nonsense!) So, we visited a lot of websites while surfing the Internet and collected them in favorites, which is convenient to access. Seeing that someone else has collected such a good website, do you want to take it as your own? However, in Windows we can only have one favorite. So how can we share favorites with others?

In fact, after the author's analysis, I found the original favorites of the file or folder just to put a shortcut file pointing to some of the site's Favorites file in the Windows system folder Bale. If you are using Windows 95, 98 or Windows Me, they are placed in C:\\Windows\\Favorites, and in Windows 2000, XP or NT are stored in C:\\Documents and Settings\\username\\Favorites (Figure 1, I put it in C:\\Documents and Settings\\Administrator\\Favorites). Once you know this, it's very easy to operate. Just create a new folder in your Favorites folder and name it "Other People's Favorites", then copy all the files in the other people's favorites with the folder. Go to this folder, you can use the contents of other people's favorites the next time you start IE (Figure 2). At the same time, there is no limit to the number of favorites that can be collected by this method!

2, Quick Import Export Favorites

I believe we all know, Windows is a very unstable operating system, I am afraid we generally almost every month or so we have to re Come to a Setup exercise! Once we re-install the system, the contents of the original collection are gone when we open the IE browsing website again! It’s too much trouble to re-enter one collection. What should I do? As you know from the first point, the files or folders in the favorites are just some shortcuts to the corresponding websites under the Favorites folder on the Windows system. That's easy to do. Back up the Favorites under the Windows folder before reinstalling the system. After the installation system is finished, copy and overwrite it. But note that if you are using Windows 95, 98 or Windows Me, they are placed in C:\\Windows\\Favorites, and in Windows 2000, XP or NT are stored in C:\\Documents and Settings. \\Username\\Favorites, sometimes you must back up multiple users' favorites. This way you can be prepared.

3, when using the favorites to manage the program

We installed a software to the system, the installer automatically for the establishment on the Start menu shortcut In this way, after a long period of time, there are more software installed, and the start menu seems to be a bit bloated. We have to resort to a third-party removal program to remove it. In fact, after the author's analysis, the start menu is placed in the C:\\Windows\\Start Menu folder in Windows 9x and Windows Me, while Windows 2000, NT, and XP are placed in C:\\Documents and Settings\\Administrator\\ Under Menu\\Programs, and they are also shortcuts to the software running program. So we can first create a new "Start" folder under the Favorites folder in the Windows system, and cut these shortcuts along with the folder information (note not copy!) into the start folder. This will allow you to see a "Start" folder in your Internet Explorer favorites, which is what we have in the Start menu. As shown in Figure 3, is there a flavor in the use of Internet Explorer's favorites to manage programs on the machine?

author NOTE: Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows NT taskbar, and Windows XP has a personalized menu options (Figure 4). The so-called "personalized menu" feature is an intelligent technology for Windows Me, which keeps track of the programs you use every time you use your computer, and hides you for a long time. And unused programs and projects, leaving only all programs that are easily accessible to keep the Start menu clean.

4, using the Favorites write

what, favorites can write? Of course, if you don't have an email program installed on your machine, then I can't make a "nothing" anyway. As long as you have an email program installed (I believe no one has not installed it!), then I can easily use the collection. Clip to send a letter. Try creating a new mailing folder under C:\\Documents and Settings\\Administrator\\Favorites, then open the explorer and right click to create a new shortcut. The shortcut content is "mailto:[email protected]" .cn", and named "writing letter to Ma Zhi". Then open Internet Explorer, and then select the "Favorites"\\"Send"\\"Write Letter to Mazhi" command (as shown in Figure 5), the system will automatically open its default email program to write to zhima@mx. Cei.gov.cn (Figure 6), fill in the subject, write the letter content, and add the necessary attachments to send, it is very convenient, you can also use it to create a hierarchical address book!

5, articulated ACDSEE favorites

In fact, we may sporadically know, with the favorites feature more than just Internet Explorer, ACDSEE have favorites Features, we can completely unify them under the Internet Explorerr favorites. ACDSEE is located under C:\\Documents and Settings\\Administrator\\Application Data\\ACD Systems\\ACDSee\\Favorites. Just create a shortcut in this folder under Internet Explorer's Favorites, even if there is an update, you can guarantee the collection. Quickly access the contents of the ACDSee favorites in the folder.

How about, read so much, is not a bit of a heart for the expansion of your favorites, if you are satisfied with the big dish that the author is dedicated to you, don't forget to vote for my article. ,Thanks again!
