Replace Vista? Windows 7 Preview Edition full trial

At the PDC 2008 (Microsoft Professional Developers) conference held last week, Microsoft introduced the next generation of Vista's next-generation version —— Windows 7 for the first time. In these introductions, we can easily find many of these subversive designs. For example, a more powerful system taskbar, more practical home network support, innovative smart library features, and more. However, just as we are full of taste for these changes, a leaked version of Windows 7 seeds, also quietly appeared on the network. So, I couldn't help but feel the joy of my heart. The author also went to be a little mouse this time and started this experience today!

First, the installation package preview

This leaked version of Windows 7, provided in .iso format, is about 2.72 GB, slightly larger than Vista. After viewing the digital signature, it was found that the time of issue was September 14, 2008, and it should still be quite new.

Second, installation experience

[Small tips] Like Vista, this version of Windows7 also supports Both CD and hard disk installation methods. In order to make the article more reference value, what we are using today is the more common CD installation mode.

First, put the prepared CD into the CD-ROM drive and turn on the computer. Along with the preparation of the picture, a beautiful language preset window appeared in front of us. In this window, we can not only easily set the language and time zone of the current system. Moreover, it is also clear that this version is the online Windows 7 Build 6801.

After several settings, we arrived at the Windows 7 installation interface. Like Vista, Windows 7 also uses a setup mode that does not require a response. As long as we complete the previous settings, we can run aside and wait for the results.

The rest is not good enough, there is not much to talk about. However, the installation speed is quite good. Counting several restarts, it only takes 20 minutes. I believe this is what many friends would like to hear.

After installation, it is still a familiar user name and network settings area. However, compared with Vista, the installation steps are much more streamlined, saving a lot of parts that require user confirmation. Moreover, in conjunction with the newly added Libraries feature, Windows 7 automatically generates an access password for the “Home Network” user during the installation process. Also, if there is a wireless router in your environment. Windows 7 also guides us through the wizard to quickly complete the routing configuration.

Third, the new feature experience

1. Beautiful startup screen

The boot screen is the first change brought to us by the new version of Windows 7. Compared with the black Vista, Windows 7 re-added the text logo to the screen. Moreover, the progress bar is also equipped with a beautiful metallic luster that looks very seductive.

2. Gadget no limit

Compared to Vista, the sidebar of Windows 7 varies greatly. . Nowadays, this sidebar has long been "definitely in existence", we can no longer find it, the original sidebar "border". Moreover, the addition of Gadgets is also simplified to the extent that you can do it with a right-click on the mouse menu. Compared with before, it still looks more flexible.
