Windows XP system extreme acceleration master experience

I am also a Windows XP user, I am deeply touched by the XP acceleration. It turns out that it takes a long time to start after installing XP or 2003. The scroll bar has to be rotated more than 10 times. After optimization, the startup time is obviously accelerated. The scroll bar can only be turned into less than one lap and can't wait to open the system. Here's a detailed explanation of how to accelerate the startup effectively and efficiently.

First, open the "System Properties" (right click on my computer - properties, or open the "System" in the Control Panel) point to the "Advanced" tab, in the "Startup and Recovery" area Open “Settings” and remove the two ports in the “System Startup” area. If the user of multiple systems keeps the “Time to Display the Operating System List”, the time is set to 1 second (experienced users can also set 0 seconds, but in this case, the multi-boot menu does not appear, you need to press F8 to enter the selection menu when starting up).

The next step is very important. Open the "Hardware" tab in "System Properties", open the "Device Manager", expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller", and double-click to open the "Secondary IDE Channel". Attributes, click the "Advanced Settings" tab, change the transfer mode of devices 1 and 2 to DMA. If the device type can select "None", select "None" (if it is virtual, you cannot select it. The reason is that some of the machine's optical drive jumpers are not placed in the MASTER), point to determine the completion of the settings, the same method to set the "main IDE channel."

Run regedit and there is an EnablePrefetcher key under H_L_M\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Session Manager\\Memory Management\\PrefetchParameters and change its value to "1".

Find AutoEndTasks in the registry and change the value data to 1. Then under the AutoEndTasks, you can find HungAppTimeout, WaitToKillAPPTimeout, set the "Value Data" to 2000 or less, and modify the time of the menu delay here. Find the MenuShowDelay under the AutoEndTasks. The value is in milliseconds. I want to remove the menu delay and set it to 0. After modifying, click the "Edit" menu, open "Find Next" (shortcut F3), and modify the results found in the previous step.

In addition to these methods, I recommend that you install less software that affects machine startup, that is, reduce the random startup programs and services as much as possible (currently, except for KV2005 and Kabbah firewall on my laptop, basically 3 notebooks come with the program, the service is also reduced as much as possible, some services are reopened, such as print spooler)

Now my machine is equipped with Office2003 SP2

Kabbah 5.0 372 Green Edition

EWIDO 3.5

KV2005 (for monitoring)

Wooden Mark Star

Trojan Defense 2005 Green Edition

ad-aware Green version

noadware green version

spybotsd green version

Kingsoft Internet Security 2005 Green Edition

Photoshop Green Edition

There are still some industries Software used

After the boot, the scroll bar only rolls (and does not end completely) and goes to the next step.

In addition, there are certain skills when installing XP. Many people get new machines. The first thing is to install directly on the XP CD, in fact, if the c drive is Fat32 or fat partition, it is best to install FORMAT C: /s /q on the C drive before the installation, and copy GHOST.exe to the c drive, so after installing XP, the system can choose MICROSOFT at startup Windows, that is, enter the pure DOS under 98, it is convenient to run Ghost, I really feel that NTFS fragmentation is less, the security is high, you can not do this step, and after installing XP, use MAXDOS 5.5S, add DOS mode

After installing XP in a non-toxic environment (in the case of network disconnection, there are many XP versions that can be upgraded online with genuine or close to genuine, such as Tomato Garden V3, I use this. The version of XP VOL original version, tomato garden version I also like, but now add a search, because people have to eat), first install the necessary motherboard, graphics card, sound card and other hardware drivers, and then immediately install a network firewall, Connected to the Internet with UPDATE only on the Microsoft website for all patch updates (some updates also require a restart, just do it), anyway, the latest patches are all put on, then XP disk swap files and IE temporary files are Move to other partitions outside the C drive, delete the swap file on the C drive after reboot, and finally enter the backup under Ghost 8.0 or higher under DOS (the advantage of this is that if the system is poisoned when installing some software, it can be very Convenient recovery).

After the backup is completed, restart the system and install all the software you need, such as input method, Office 2003 SP2, Photoshop, various anti-virus, kill Trojan, kill spyware, use FOXMAIL to recover you. Commonly used IE favorites, the principle of installing software is only necessary to install, the kind of want to be early, and then install, all installed (fixed), then enter DOS again with Ghost backup, this backup is your future The basic work platform, in case of poisoning, can be restored within a few minutes. I think even the best anti-virus software is not as pure as it was when it was just installed.

Finally, talk about the habit of using, the above 2 GHOST backup files are best kept, big deal to occupy the hard disk space is, I am about every 3 months or so, or as long as the system is slow, from the beginning Pre-installed the second Ghost file of all necessary software (preferably controlled at around 1G), pay attention to backup C disk related data and IE favorites, and completely clear the IE temporary file on D disk, currently used for more than one year. The speed of self-feeling is the same as that of the newly installed machine (my notebook configuration is Xunchi 1.6 512M memory 40G)

The above is some of my experience, written in a hurry, please advise!
