WinXP system, trying to install update from windows update or Microsoft update error or crash

Problem description WinXP system, using windows update or Microsoft update to check for updates encountered the following problems:

1, running Windows Update The Svchost.exe process stops responding

2. An access violation error was received. This access violation error stops the Server service and Workstation service. The error message may be: Window title: svchost.exe - Application error Error content: "0x745f2780" The instruction references the "0x00000070" memory. Memory cannot be "read".

Solution Install the KB927891 patch.
