Creating a distinctive "My Computer"

In Windows XP, the default "My Computer" layout has changed a lot compared to previous versions of Windows. Can I change the "My Computer" display style in Windows XP? of course can!

delete "files stored on this computer" folder shortcuts

obvious change is that the "My Computer" more than a "shared documents" and each user documentation shortcuts Folder icons, delete them by: Click "Start" "Run", enter "Regedit", press Enter to open the Registry Editor. Expand the main HKEY_LOCAL_MacHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\MyComputer\\NameSpace\\DelegateFolders in the left directory tree, right-click its subkey "{59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-5595fe6b30ee}", and select the "Delete" command. Restart to open the Explorer, the folder shortcut has disappeared.

The registry primary key described above is for all users of the system. If you do not want to affect other users, the method is slightly different: expand the primary key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\policIEs\\ in the Registry Editor Explorer, create a binary value of "NoSharedDocuments" in the right window, and assign the value to "01 00 00 00", the logout or restart system will take effect.
