Just installed the English version of Windows XP Caozuoxitong, Chinese can not be displayed correctly. There are two ways to solve this problem:

1. Solve the problem during the installation process. During the Windows XP installation process, when you go to the "Regional and Language" section, don't rush to press the next step. Take a closer look. Here Microsoft has instructions. Do you want to install support files for East Asian languages? Of course, Choose to install, it will tell you that you need to occupy more than 200MB of space, click OK, wait a while for the file copy will be completed, so that the English version of Windows XP after installation will correctly display the Chinese document.

2. Remedy. I didn't choose "Install East Asian Language" during installation. What should I do? Install it again? Don't use it at all, go to the control panel, find "Regional and Language Options", and then find the "Language" column, which contains files for East Asian languages. Select it and copy some files from the Windows XP installation disk to the system, the problem is solved. Things are not finished yet, open a certain software, you will find out how all are "???", it is necessary to find "advanced" in the "Region and Language" in the "Control Panel", here you can change the non-unicode program Language, change the default programming language to Chinese (simple chinese) in the drop-down list.
