Simple setup: Solve the problem of Win XP system network access

WINXP's network neighborhoods have a lot of unsatisfactory places: slow access, no access to other hosts... In fact, these problems can be solved easily with simple settings.

Make sure you can ping each other before you do this.

1. Open the guest account.

2. Allow Guest users to access the machine: Open the Group Policy Editor, select "Computer Configuration → Windows Settings → Security Settings → Local Policies → User Rights Assignment", delete "Deny access to this computer from the network" "GUEST" account in the strategy.

3. Change the network access mode: Open the Group Policy Editor, select "Computer Configuration → Windows Settings → Security Settings → Local Policies → Security Options", double-click "Network Access: Local Account Sharing and Security Mode" "Strategy, change "only guest - local user since guest authentication" to "classic: local users authenticate with their own identity."

4. Unlock Empty Password: Disable the "Account: Local account with blank password only allows console login" policy in the system "Security Options".

5. Network neighbors can't see the computer: Open "Control Panel→Performance and Maintenance→Administrative Tools→Services" and start the "Computer Browser" service inside.

6. Increase the permission to share files: Open "My Computer → Tools → Folder Properties → View → Advanced Settings", and then cancel the selection in front of "Simple File Sharing (Recommended)". The "Mickey Mouse" item also cancels it.

7. Network neighbor does not respond or responds slowly. Turn off WinXP's Task Scheduler. Go to Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services and open the Task Scheduler Properties dialog box to stop the Service, then set the startup type to "manual".

Turn off the network folder and printer for automatic search. Go to "My Network Places/Files/Folders Options" and click the last item to close the automatically searched network folder and printer.
