XP SP3 custom desktop without IE option problem

Microsoft in response to the EU's anti-monopoly investigation, removed the Internet Explorer option in SP3's "custom desktop." What should I do if the desktop IE icon is accidentally deleted, but I want to restore it instead of creating a shortcut (to send a shortcut to the desktop under C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer)? There are a lot of ways to change the registry on the Internet, it is very troublesome, and some are not necessarily effective. There is a small flaw here:

1. Right click on the blank space on the desktop, and the menu pops up "Properties"

2, pop-up window, switch to “Desktop”, then click “Customize Desktop”;

3, “Desktop Icon” does not have Internet Explorer, then press the letter key i;

4, click "OK" all the way. How about, the IE icon appears on the desktop right now?
