Win XP resource manager practical skills two

On weekdays, if we need to convert BMP format image files to JPG format, resize images, or batch rename files, it is usually done by special tools such as ACDSee. In fact, even without these software, we can do this in the Windows XP Explorer.

First, convert image file

Open "My Computer", switch to the folder where the image file is located, select the image file to be converted, and then in the common task list on the left side. Click "Send selected items by email", then select "Keep original size" in the pop-up window (pictured). After "OK", Windows XP will convert these pictures to JPG format and start the default. The email client adds the converted image files as attachments to the new email, and then saves the attachments to get the converted files.

If you want to convert image formats while scaling size of the image, click "Show more options" As long as shown in the window, and then select the desired size, then click OK on it.

Second, batch order renaming

Select all files to be renamed under Explorer, right-click, select "Rename" in the pop-up menu, then move the mouse Go to the first file name in the selected file list and enter the new file name in the following format: "NewFileName (1)". After pressing Enter, all files can be renamed in order.

In addition, according to this nomenclature, we can freely set the starting file for sequential renaming by modifying the numbers in parentheses.
