How does Ubuntu set up a shortcut to start a program?

Under Ubuntu system, you can set the shortcut key of the startup program, so you don't need to add the shortcut of the program to the desktop, and you don't need to find the icon of the program everywhere. You can open the program directly by using the keyboard. Let's take a look at how Ubuntu uses shortcuts to launch applications.

I think ‘eclipse’add shortcuts as an example:

First, open “Keyboard Shortcuts> in the System Settings “ Add a new custom shortcut in the key & rdquo;.

The name is arbitrary, such as "eclipse", the command input: /home/cx/eclipse/eclipse (this command is to start under the terminal & lsquo;eclipse& rsquo; the command to run)

After the application, a new shortcut command appears, but it is still in the state of "disabled", click "and disable", it will be displayed as "new shortcut …", and then press the shortcut you want to use. Key, such as Alt+E.

This will be fine, and later launch ‘eclipse’ directly press Alt+E.

After setting the shortcut key in Ubuntu system using the above method, you can press ALT+E to start eclipse at any position. The method of setting shortcuts for other programs is the same.
