Install IIS 7 on Windows Vista

Windows Vista will be officially released, what are the differences with the previous XP? Today we will tell you how to install IIS 7 on Windows Vista operating system...
First install IIS7 component
Open Control Panel->Program->Programs and components, click Turn Windows features on or off, pop up Select the component options container, select Internet Information Services, and click OK. After confirming, Vista will start the installer and restart the computer when it is finished.

The next step is to put our installed IIS7 components in the console for easy use.
Open the start program, type mmc in the search sample, then press Enter to open a new Windows console program. As shown below:

Select the File menu in the newly opened Console, click Add/Remove Snap in...
Open Snap-ins

In Available Snap -ins will appear in the IIS we just added, select, add, and then click OK.

A IIS console program is built. When you close the window, it will prompt to save it, named IIS Manager. Then save to Administrative Tools (default), OK.

The console program used to manage IIS is added. Then open the Administrative Tools in the Start menu and the IIS Manager we just built will appear.

At this point, our IIS has been successfully added. In the above steps, the permission operation prompt will appear, choose to continue. Next, let's take a look at the new interface of IIS7, and do not introduce detailed functions here.

Small episode: During this installation, you You may find that we can make a console application ourselves. There are a lot of features in V, it does not provide ready-made management module shortcuts, such as IIS. It's good that we can customize the management functions we need.
