Creating an Image Thumbnail Gallery A large number of images can be automatically created as thumbnail galleries by date. In the XnView browser window, select all the images you want to create in the gallery, then click the Create Gallery button on the toolbar, and the “Generate Contact Table” window will pop up, where you can set the gallery parameters, including thumbnail size and spacing. Similar image lookup comparison If you want to find similar or duplicate images, you can use the similar file lookup function to achieve. Click the <quo;Tools & Rarr; Find Similar Files” command, in the pop-up "Find similar" window, add the directory where you want to find the image file (you can add multiple directories, even between directories). Select the “Include subdirectory” option below, then select the “similar image content” option, define the similarity of the image through the slider, and then click the “find” button to find and compare (Figure 7) . Tip: The similarity will directly affect the search speed. The higher the similarity is defined, the longer the search will take. In addition to the above applications, XnView can also implement image attribute batch processing, batch renaming of image files, and application of various filter effects to process photos and other useful functions. 5. The right-click chart is flexible and convenient to manage pictures in the file explorer. The most convenient operation is to directly control and manipulate the file at the current position with the right button. When we installed the XnView Shell Extension in the Windows system, we can easily complete the image preview, format batch conversion, direction rotation, wallpaper replacement and other very useful image operations with the right mouse button command. It can be said that the XnView Shell Extension is the embodiment of the XnView browser's essence function on the right button. It is a picture tool with simplified functions but more convenient operation. Select the image to be processed in the Windows File Explorer, right click and select the XnShell command, you can see all the available utility commands under it, including the preview thumbnail above, the following conversion, rotation and other commands, all operations of the image It can be done with one button (Figure 8).
