Segmentation and merger of online novels and reading

Many people nowadays like to read novels on mobile devices such as tablets. However, some novels downloaded from the Internet are either a complete novel or some scattered chapters, which may lead to inconvenient reading. In order to read better, it is necessary to divide or merge the downloaded novels according to the actual situation. Long file segmentation If the downloaded novel is too long, it may be inconvenient to turn pages or find when reading. In this case, it can be divided by size or chapter. This can be done with the "TXT killer" software. The easiest is to split by size. Click the button in the upper left corner to be split, and select the web novel to be split in the pop-up dialog box. Then click the button to save to ” and select the location to save after splitting. Then select “size” in "Segmentation", and then set the number of splits in the "Split Settings" setting, and how many bytes per copy. Once you've set it up according to your needs, click “Split” More user-friendly segmentation is divided into chapters, and expressions need to be set to distinguish. Select "Chapter" in "Segmentation" and select an expression in the "Chapter Expression" list. The software has built-in expressions that are split according to chapters, sections, returns, sets, and so on. For example, the online novel is written in the form of “The first chapter”, then select “1, 2, 2, 4, 5, 6, 769, 190, 00, 0 } chapter & rdquo; item (Figure 1). After setting, click the “Analyze” button below to see the name of the analyzed chapter in the list. If there is no problem, check the name of the chapter to be exported in the list, and then click ““output the selected chapter” Yes (Figure 2). After entering the folder saved after splitting, you can see a text file ending with 0, which saves the preface of the online novel. Merging files makes it easy to read large files, and some smaller files need to be merged. This can be done with TextForever. After the software is running, switch to the “File Consolidation” tab. In the “Select the files to be merged” section, click “Select” Import the files to be merged. After the files are added to the list, you can adjust the order by using the arrow buttons in the toolbar to avoid the problem of reversed content after the file is merged (Figure 3). Next, click on the "Select merged file" button to set the location of the merged file. Then check the "File Interval" in "File Interval" to add a blank line to each file. Finally click on “Start Merge” When you see the prompt to complete the merge, click the “Select merged file” button to open the merged file to view and preview. Tip: TextForever has many functions. If the downloaded online novel is in web format, you can use the functions in the “Html→Text” dialog box to convert, and then perform the corresponding operations (Figure 4).
