Using Intel Quick Start Technology to achieve extremely fast boot

Intel Rapid Start Technology (IRST, Intel Quick Start Technology) allows you to skip the system boot directly from sleep, and return to the state before sleep within a few seconds of power-on, just like freezing and thawing. The following system home Xiaobian will introduce you to Intel Rapid Start Technology! To achieve Intel Rapid Start Technology, the following conditions must be met: 1. The motherboard supports Intel Rapid Start Technology (7 series motherboard can be, my motherboard is HM77); 2. There is an SSD solid state drive; 3. The BIOS turns on AHCI mode, and Use Win7 (Win8 must be available), and the motherboard should be connected to the native SATA interface. Here are some steps for Intel Rapid Start Technology: 1. Enter the BIOS, confirm that the SATA mode is set to AHCI (otherwise IRST cannot be enabled), and enable Intel Rapid Start Technology (IRST); 2. Use Diskgenius or other partitioning tools. Create a new OS/2 format partition with greater than or equal to the memory capacity. After saving, restart the system. After the new build, you can see a sleep partition with the same size as the one just set in the computer management disk management; the size of the sleep partition (MB) = Memory capacity (GB) × 1024 For example, my 4G memory should be the partition size = 4 × 1024 = 4096 MB insurance, you may wish to add tens of MB on this basis. In fact, it has been explained here that the operating system does not necessarily need to be installed. On the SSD, it can be installed on the HDD, because compared to the previous memory data saved to the system disk, this time IRST saves the memory data to the sleep partition of the SSD, so the fast start technology can be realized on the HDD system. 3. Download and install the Intel Rapid Start Technology driver. After rebooting, enter the system and you will see the IRST icon in the system bar. Click to enter the setting interface. Open Intel Rapid Start Technology. The following can be customized. The timer is from sleep to activation. IRST power off, set to 0 here is the direct IRST power off after sleep; simply change the power button of the start menu to sleep, too lazy to point the triangle every time; test it now, start the menu point to sleep for a few seconds Breakpoint, in order to measure more thoroughly, pull the battery to pull the power adapter, completely cut off the power and then reconnect the power adapter to boot, in less than 5 seconds, it will successfully wake up to the Windows lock interface (if you are the first time to see With such a fast startup speed, you will be scared.) Compared to the previous sleep, you skipped the process before going to the login interface. After going to the desktop, the program is still there, and the usage is very smooth.
