Speaking of the Device Driver, which is called "Device Driver", is a special program that allows computers and devices to communicate. It is equivalent to the hardware interface, the operating system can only control the work of the hardware device through this interface. If the driver of a device is not installed correctly, it will not work properly. For this reason, the position of the driver in the system is very important. Generally, when the operating system is installed, the first thing to install is the driver for the hardware device. The approximate order is the motherboard driver, the graphics card driver, the sound card driver, and so on.

General Methods for Driver Installation

In general, drivers for most hardware devices are automatically installed when the operating system is installed. Of course, the drivers for these hardware devices must have passed WMD. Authentication, and can find the corresponding hardware information in the Windowsinf directory. For devices that support Plug and Play, you will be prompted to insert the driver CD when rebooting after hardware installation. Follow the prompts to install. If some older devices do not support Plug and Play, you can install the drivers through Add New Hardware in the Control Panel.

1. Backup Driver

Currently, the latest version of Driver Wizard is 1.3 Beta2. As shown in Figure 1, the default page of the program is "Backup Driver", and the driver that needs to be backed up (that is, the device driver that is not in the Windows installation file) is automatically displayed, and the corresponding backup suggestions are proposed. It is recommended to select "Full Select the "All buttons" option. The default backup path is located in the C:\\Program Files DriverGenius MyDrivers folder. Of course, you can change this path yourself, and then click the "Start Backup" button to back up these drivers.
Here to explain, in addition to the backup driver, the "drive wizard" also provides a "more backup" function (Figure 2), we can choose the "backup all" item, the registry, my Important data such as documents, font files, IE favorites, QQ settings and chat history, BIOS settings, and main boot area are all backed up.
2. Restore the driver

In the future, when we need to reinstall the driver for some reason, just select the "Restore Driver" button, you can see the previously backed up driver contents from the window. . Of course, if you have not backed up the driver before, or replaced the backup driver folder, then the driver that needs to be restored will not be displayed here. Now, just click the "Start Restore" button, after a short time and restart the system, the driver on this machine will be successfully restored.
