What is the use of F1~F12?
All keyboards have at least 12 function keys, commonly referred to as F keys, which are typically located at the top of the keyboard, from F1 to F12. But do you know the role of all these keys? Do you know how these keys save you time?

F1: If you need help in a selected program, press F1. If you are not in any program, but in the explorer or desktop, press F1 and the Windows helper will appear. If you are working on a program and want Windows help, you need to press Win+F1. Press Shift+F1 and the help message for "What's This?" will appear.

F2: If a file or folder is selected in the Explorer, pressing F2 will rename the selected file or folder.

F3: Press F3 on the Explorer or the desktop, the “Search File” window will appear, so if you want to search for files in a folder, just press F3. The search window can be quickly opened and the search scope has been set to this folder by default. Similarly, when you press it in Windows Media Player, the window "Add to Media Library by Searching Computer" appears.

F4: This button is used to open the address bar list in IE. To close the IE window, you can use the Alt+F4 key combination.

F5: used to refresh the contents of the current window in IE or Explorer.

F6: You can quickly locate the address bar in the Explorer and IE.

F7: Nothing in Windows. However, in the DOS window, it is useful, give it a try!

F8: When you start your computer, you can use it to display the boot menu. Some computers can also press this button at the beginning of the computer to quickly call up the boot settings menu, from which you can quickly select whether to boot from a floppy disk, or boot from a CD, or boot directly from the hard disk, without having to enter the BIOS to modify the boot sequence. In addition, you can also accept the Microsoft installation agreement when installing Windows.

F9: It also has no effect in Windows. But it can be used to quickly reduce the volume in Windows Media Player.

F10: Used to activate the menu in Windows or program. Press Shift+F10 to display the shortcut menu. The role of the Application key in the keyboard is the same. In Windows Media Player, its function is to increase the volume.

F11: can make the current resource manager or IE into full screen display.

F12: It also has no effect in Windows. But in Word, pressing it will quickly pop up a window saved as a file.
