What is the difference between RAW and JPG format

RAW is uncorrected raw data, and JPG is a picture format modified according to the manufacturer's style, photographer's settings, and so on. If you are familiar with the later stage, you can use the RAW format, so that you can use the original data based on the original data to produce your own style of JPG or other format based on the original data, or just JPG straight out.

Features of RAW:

1. RAW files are large in size, so the time it takes to take out photos or transfer photos to a computer is lengthened. At the same time, the storage space required is larger. 2, RAW's picture quality is very fine, the photo taken is very good. When editing a photo, it is very good to restore the photo image. 3, RAW must use a special reader to open and convert this picture. Generally, using Photoshop software to modify photos, you must have software conversion before you can import them into Photoshop software. 4, the software to open RAW for a long time, the fastest also takes 8 to 9 seconds or so, the slow takes about 1 minute. This also proves that the image file is very fine. Features of JPG: 1. The file size of JPG format is small and the transmission speed is fast. The occupied space capacity is small. 2, JPG's picture quality is general, the photos taken are generally effective. The photo image cannot be restored very well when the photo is modified. But the best JPG file is close to the RAW format. 3, JPG format compatibility is good, the general computer can recognize this picture. It is also one of the commonly used picture formats! 4, JPG format transmission time is shorter, the fastest transmission time is less than 2 seconds, but only 5 seconds slow. 5, JPG format is small, there will be some missing in the photos taken. This is why the JPG format file is small.

I suggest that the landlord consider various aspects when choosing a camera to store photo formats. For example, the capacity of the camera memory card is large, and whether the corresponding software format file reader is installed in the software. These are very important, although the RAW format is the first choice for professional photographers, but for our amateur photographers, the choice of JPG is enough.
