Steps to reset IE 9 settings

  
                  Operation Purpose:
Reset the Windows Internet Explorer 9 settings to the state when Internet Explorer was first installed on the computer.
Operation steps:
1. Close all currently open Internet Explorer windows and Windows Explorer window.
2. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the "Start" button.
2.1 In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.
3. Click the "Tools" button.

4. Then click on "Internet Options".

5. Click the "Advanced" tab, then click "Reset".

6. In the "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" dialog box, click "Reset". If you also want to delete your browsing history, search provider, accelerator, home page, tracking protection, and ActiveX filtering data, select the Remove personalization check box.
7. After Internet Explorer has finished applying the default settings, click Close, then click OK. Close Internet Explorer. Your changes will take effect the next time you open Internet Explorer.

NOTE:
if any one category can not be reset, it is because Internet Explorer could not access a file or registry settings. The possible reasons are:
1. There is no permission to make this change. Log in with an administrator account and try resetting again.
2. Files or settings are being used by other programs. Close all other programs and try resetting again.
3. Insufficient memory. Restart your computer and try resetting again.
4. High CPU usage. Restart your computer and try resetting again.
