Master answering questions MSN8.5 can not be installed to solve

After Microsoft directly "skip" from Winodws Live Messager (hereinafter referred to as WLM) version 8.1 to WLM version 8.5, many users are eager to experience the Spanish WLM8.5. Although I robbed a fresh experience, but after the launch of the WLM8.5 Simplified Chinese version, it is impossible to install this version that is more suitable for us. 1. Problem phenomenon
Each time you double-click the installer, after the interface after Figure 1 and Figure 2 appears, the program will automatically disappear without any prompt. Why is this? Faced with this problem, many netizens are unable to do anything. The author has also been trapped in this problem, but fortunately, I have a little understanding of the system, and after some research, I found a solution.

Figure 1 Accepting the agreement
Figure 2 Preparing for the installation phase The "unable to install" mentioned earlier is after the appearance of Figure 2, that is, the step before the program is installed, it will automatically exit, and there is no system hint.

2. Analysis and Solution

Although the author is not a computer expert, but also knows that it should be combined with the phenomenon before and after the system to analyze. The current phenomenon of this problem is very clear, that is, after installing the Spanish version of msn8.5, the system can not install the simplified Chinese version of MSN8.5.

In general, the Microsoft operating system will store the corresponding data of the software program in a folder before and after installing a certain software. In other words, some files are automatically generated in a folder under the user account.

Will the file generated when the Spanish version of MSN is installed affect the installation of the Chinese version of MSN8.5?

Enter the "E:\\Users\\All Users" file directory, there are really two folders related to MSN, "WindowsLiveInstaller" and "WLInstaller" (Figure 3).

Tip:

Under the User account, "WindowsLiveInstaller" and "WLInstaller" may exist in multiple directory files. If you still cannot install after deleting the above files, you should use other directories. Delete the file with the same name below.

After cleaning up the "WindowsLiveInstaller" and "WLInstaller" files, double-click the MSN8.5 installation file again, the program can now successfully pass the self-extracting and enter the installation phase (Figure 4) ).
It should be considered not only when installing MSN encountered such a problem, but also for other applications, we should also take this into account. In addition, when encountering problems, we should start with the operation of the system before and after the problem, try to find the most suspicious situation to solve.
