Express new usage: use FlashGet to achieve off-site download

I don't know if you have had such an experience: the off-duty time has arrived, but the classic blockbuster being downloaded has not been downloaded yet, and I want to watch it with my family at night. At this time, how is it good? After work hours have arrived, it is impossible to download completely, what should I do? Is it necessary to move the office computer back home? Its practicality is not so troublesome. After reading this article, this kind of trouble will never happen again.

Step 1: Save the undownloaded file

When you need to close the computer in the office to prepare to go home, first pause the current download task in FlashGet and check the current download file. Storage location (press Ctrl+Enter key combination to open the download directory), I will store the downloaded movie in the directory, please remember the path. At the same time, you can see the undownloaded file (with the extension jc!) and copy it to the mobile hard disk.

It should be noted that the prerequisite for downloading offsite is that the file you download must support the resume of the breakpoint.

Step 2: Save the database

Click the FlashGet File menu and select the Save Database As command (Figure 1). Save the database file to the pop-up dialog box. Move the hard drive (such as move.jcd).

Step 3: Continue to download

After returning home, copy the database file saved in the mobile hard disk to the computer hard disk in the home, and then create a new Download in the C drive. Folder (the specific environment should be exactly the same as in the office), copy the file with the extension jc! to the folder, then start the FlashGet main program, click the "File" menu and select the "Open old database" command. Open the database file (move.jcd) that you just copied. At this time, you will find that FlashGet does not start downloading from 0%, which shows the percentage of the original pause in the office (Figure 2). Right-click on the download file and select the "Start" command, which not only improves productivity, but also easily solves the problems mentioned at the beginning of this article. //This article comes from the computer software and hardware application network www.45it.com

Tips

★ It should be noted that you must remember the original (ie office computer) download file storage location If the new setting environment is different from the original, the effect of downloading offsite cannot be achieved.

★If the drive letter used in the office is not on the computer at home (such as I disk), you can use the Subst command to virtualize a hard disk on your home computer by opening the DOS prompt window and typing Enter the command C:\\>SUBST I: F:\\DISK and press Enter (Figure 3). Which folder should be selected according to the remaining space of the drive letter. At this time, enter the resource manager and you will find that the system has been F. The :\\DISK folder is handled as an I disk (see Figure 4), and then the directory is created on the I disk, and the undownloaded file (with the extension jc!) is placed in it to create a company and company. The same download environment, then download it. Finally, by the way, if you get to work soon, and there is still a bit of information to download, you can do something similar and bring it to the company to continue downloading.
