VMware prompts "No registration category" solution

  
                  

If you click on the VMware icon and a pop-up dialog appears, the content is as follows:

VMware Workstation unrecoverable error:(vmui)

Unable to create VmappPoll object: No registration category. Reinstalling VMware Workstation may help.

A log file is available in "C:\\Documentes and Settings\\Administrator\\Local Settings\\Temp\\vmware-administrator\\vmware-Administrator-XXX.log". A core file is available in "C:\\Documentes and Settings\\Administrator\\Application Data\\VMware\\vmware-XXX.dmp". Please request support and include the contents of the log file and core file.To collect files to submit to VMware support, run cscript vm- Support.vbs. We will respond on the basis of your support entitlement.

The solution for the "No registration category" is

In your VMware installation directory, it is with vmware.exe Create a text document under the same level directory and rename it to: error.bat. Mainly the suffix name must be changed to .bat, the previous one does not matter.

Then right click on the file, click Edit, and type the following:

regsvr32.exe vmappsdk.dll

regsvr32.exe vmdbCOM.dll

regsvr32 .exe vmnetBridge.dll

Save, close.

Then double-click to run this file and try running your VMware.
