Don't waste CD safe burning practical skills talk about

Now the software is getting bigger and bigger, facing the increasing processing capacity of the current data, and with the continuous decline in the price of CD burners and CD-R, many users are It has greatly facilitated the storage of data by purchasing a CD burner and using it to burn and permanently save data. I also purchased a burner, using the burning software for WinOnCD 3.6 Power Edition Chinese version, I would like to summarize the lessons of the use of blood in the process to tell the majority of safe burning skills, reduce CD-R The unnecessary sacrifice.

1. Turn off energy management

Generally, it takes a long time to burn a disc. If energy management is set, it may cause the computer to stop responding for a long time, which may cause the disc to fail. So first turn off energy management, turn off energy management to start from two aspects: First, set Power Saving in Power Management to NONE in CMOS; second, enter the "Control Panel" of Windows, double-click the "Power Management" icon, The contents of "system wait state", "close monitor" and "close hard disk" are all selected from the drop-down list, and then click "OK" button to return. If you suspect that you are having trouble setting up again next time, you can save it as a "disc burning" program.

2. Before installing the burning software, defragment the hard disk and place the file on a certain partition of the hard disk.

Now the CD burner reads the data from the hard disk into the recorder first. The cache goes and then writes from the cache to the CD-R. Therefore, if the data on the hard disk is placed in a mess, the time for reading data from the hard disk will increase, which may result in the lack of cache in the CD burner. As a result of the data, this will cause a Buffer underruns error, that is, "operation timeout", causing the disk to fail. Not only is the data placed on the hard disk confusing, but the error is most likely to occur, and if some files are not placed in a contiguous area of the same partition, it is very likely that such errors will occur (I have had this kind of experience). Therefore, it is best to burn Do the following before the CD:

2.1. Delete unnecessary files to make up enough hard disk space;

2.2. Copy all files to a certain hard disk On a partition;

2.3. Before burning, it is best to run a hard disk scanner to ensure that all files are placed in a continuous area. However, I do not recommend using the micro-software included in Windows. ScanDisk, which is slower and more error-prone, I recommend you use Vop99 disk scanning software. This software scans the repair disk extremely fast and stable. It supports scanning and automatic scanning of multiple drives. It can Download it for free at http://www.goldenbow.com.

3. Close all other applications before engraving

Since engraving is a very resource-intensive job, you must close and close all data when writing to the CD. Other applications and any FAX Modem, email and screen saver, and other applications that log out of the network, exit the network environment or temporarily remove network features.
4. Start a special Windows system with only burning software

The machine with the recorder installed is very arrogant. You can't install too much software on it, otherwise it may cause software conflicts. If the burning fails, it is not possible to execute other Windows software when the disk is engraved. If necessary, only the burning software can be installed on the machine for the recorder. If we only install the burning software on the machine with the recorder, and only execute this burning software when Windows starts, all the problems will be solved. In fact, we can use the system.ini file to create this special Windws system. Please click "Start"\\"Run", enter sysedit, run the system configuration editor, find the system.ini file, find the shell section, and mask the original shell=Explorer.exe with a ";" Rewrite shell=C:\\CeQuadrat\\WinonCD.exe (provided your WinonCD software must be installed in the C:\\CeQuadrat folder), restart the Windows system, and you will find that your desktop is empty, only one WinonCD software window, you can use it to discard this time, no longer have to worry about other software to interfere. However, this is not very convenient when shutting down. Only by forcibly shutting down, you can also press Ctrl+Alt+Del and then select “Shutdown”. If you don't like this kind of operating environment and want to go back to the original environment, just mask the shell=C:\\CeQuadrat\\WinonCD.exe line with the ";" sign, and then; shell=Explorer.exe The previous ";" is removed, (change it with a text editor under DOS) and restart Windows. In fact, you can back up these two programs as one file, and you can quickly switch between the two environments by overwriting the system.ini file in the Windows folder.

5. Burning discs at low speeds

Nowadays, general burners basically support speeds of more than 4 times, but I strongly recommend that you use 1x speed discs because Using the 1x or 2x speed dial can greatly reduce the occurrence of the disc interruption process. (I once caused the disc cutting process to be interrupted because it was set to 4x speed, and then changed to the 1x speed disc according to the prompt information). To do this, in the "Disc" window of WinOnCD, click the "Output" tab item, select "1x or 2x" in the "Speed" drop-down list, and then click the "Burn" button.

6. Test and write again

Although most of the recorders now support the direct write function, it is best to test it before the official write, if there is speed or not On the (Speed testfails) or operation timeout (Buffer underruns) error, you should reorganize the hard disk and reduce the speed of the engraving until it succeeds. The specific method is: In the "Disc" window of WinOnCD, click the "Write Test" tab and select "Write Test Once, If Successful and Write".

7. Create a CD image file and then write

In the early days, the burning software generally made the file on the hard disk into a CD image file, and then wrote On the CD-R, although most of the recorders now have a large cache, which can convert ISO9660 format image files to CD-R in real time, I believe that if you want to ensure that the burning process is more secure, you should first Write all the files to be burned to the CD file and then from the image file to the CD-R. The specific operation is: enter the "Disc" window of WinOnCD, in the "Input" tab item, select "Image File", click the Burn button, the Save File dialog box will pop up, enter the save, and then create a new project file. And select "New" \\ "Other" \\ "Track Image", then double-click the track image, select the image file you just saved, and then burn to CD-R. However, this method requires a lot of hard disk space, so make sure there is enough hard disk space before.
8. Try to use the same burning software

Since there are so many burning softwares on the market, maybe the principle of their burning is not exactly the same, therefore, I suggest you choose one of your favorite Burning software, then support using it to burn discs. As the author's machine uses WinOnCD 3.6 Power Edition Chinese version.

9. Try to seal the disc

As far as possible, CD-R allows MultiSession to write, but experience tells us that sometimes the unsealed disc is CD to other machines. Cannot be read on the ROM, so if you are bringing these materials out to communicate, it is best to seal them all, and now the price of the CD-R is also very cheap, and it is impossible to spend a lot of money for those few dollars. ! (Imagine if your own information can't be read at the time...)

10. You can test with CD-RW first, then write to CD-R after success

Because CD -RW can be erased and erased, and CD-RW can also be used as CD-R, so we can write the data to CD-RW for testing, and then write it to CD-R after successful. Ideal for making special discs, such as making self-starting discs, copying encrypted track discs, and more.

11. Don't burn continuously

Since the laser head used in the recorder is writable, when it burns the disc, it must reach a certain power to be able to CD-RW or CD- The material on R melts and burns. Therefore, for a long time, the temperature on the CD-ROM drive is very high, and it may cause errors in burning or even damage the optical drive. Therefore, I recommend that you do not burn multiple discs in succession in the summer. It should be more like this in the day!

12. Reuse of burned discs

Sometimes you find errors during the burning process. In fact, don't panic. If you can't make a CD-R scrapped? Try to recover first. If it doesn't work, you can close the burning program, and then try it on another machine to see if it can be read. (The author once had a bug in the machine and a bug was received, but later got the CD. -On the ROM, even the file system is normal, it is really weird!), if not, you can use Easy CD Creator repair tool to fix, or use WinOnCD's shutdown section function to close the wrong segment, the rest of the space can be Used.

I just discussed some basic CD burning techniques, I hope to help the readers, and I wish you a good master of burning.
