Let Win7 finish the patch infrequently prompt to restart the system

Patching is a very important step in system maintenance, Win7 is no exception. However, almost every time after Win7 is patched, a prompt to restart the system will pop up in the lower right corner. We can choose to postpone it for a few hours, but we can't completely close this stubborn prompt. In fact, if you want to make Win7 no longer pop up after the update prompt, there is still a way, but the steps are a bit more complicated, you need to set through Win7's local group policy. Click the Start button, type gpedit.msc in the search bar and press Enter to open the Local Group Policy Editor.

Open Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Windows Update in the directory on the left side of the window.

Then find and double-click in the settings list on the right side. For the computer with the logged-in user, the scheduled automatic update installation does not perform the reboot option. In the pop-up window, change the setting status to “Enabled”.

Click the OK button to save your settings and you can close the Local Group Policy Editor. After completing the above operations, Win7 will not ask you to restart the system after each update. However, if the update is complete, you don't have any uninterrupted work. It's good to make a little time to restart the system to apply these updates.
