Windows 7 completely uninstalls IE 8 browser

According to foreign media reports, Windows 7 testers found an interesting change in the latest build 7048 version, Internet Explorer 8 can be completely removed in the "Windows Feature Options", but it will also affect Use of the system browser.

Here are the graphic steps:

Open "All Control Panel Options" from the Control Panel;

Click on "Programs and Features";

Click on "Turn Windows Features On or Off" in the left sidebar (if you have upgraded the UAC permission, you will receive a UAC prompt);

Wait for the list to load;

Find Internet Explorer 8 in the program list and deselect it;

Click OK. You will see a prompt to restart your computer.

After rebooting, the system will make some settings and then restart again.

Removing IE8 requires restarting the computer twice, then you will not be able to select IE8 in the "Default Program" menu, which means that IE8 has no way to start it in the normal way, although the Internet Explorer directory It still exists, but the iexplore.exe file under this directory no longer exists.
