Although Microsoft has been silent on the release of Windows 7 SP1, some insiders revealed that Microsoft has determined which internal compiled version will be used as a public beta of SP1. The internal build version number of SP1 Beta will be selected as Windows 7 SP1 Build 6.1.7601.16560.win7sp1_beta.100524-1800.

According to the version number of Windows 7 SP1 Build 16560, it is compiled at 18:00 on May 24th. Not long ago, Windows 7 SP1 16556 v.172 leaked to the Internet, and then the Russian website Wzor said that SP1 has been upgraded to Build 6.1.7601.16559. Today, Wzor claims that 6.1.7600.16560.win7sp1_beta.100524-1800 is most likely to be selected as the official Windows 7 SP1 Beta.

Reviewing the new features of Microsoft's publicly announced Win7 SP1, for Windows Server 2008 R2, SP1 will introduce two new desktop virtualization features: Microsoft RemoteFX and Dynamic Memory.
