Windows 7 Build 7048 X64 Performance Test

Windows 7 Build 7048 X64 only appeared soon, there is performance testing out. Probably because this version is likely to be the relationship of the RC version, it is more important. However, since there is only a 64-bit version, the test can only select some native 64-bit software, and the others are 32-bit.

Test Configuration:

CPU : Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.6 GHz (450 MHz x8) , 1.15v,

Motherboard: Biostar Tpower Ip45.

Memory: 2x 1 GB Ocz Reaper extreme 1150 MHz (5-5-5-11) . (@1180 MHz)

Graphics Card: Nvidia 9800 GT (700Mhz Core, 1860 Memory, 1700 Renderer)

Graphics Driver: Nvidia ForceDriver 181.71

Hard Disk: Raid0, 2x Seagate 320 GB

Test System:

Windows 7 (7048 Build RC 1) 64-bit

Windows 7 (7022 Build Beta) 32-bit

Windows 7 (7000 Build Beta) 64-bit

Windows 7 (6956 Build Pre-Beta) 32-bit

Windows Vista SP1 32-bit

Windows XP SP3 32-bit

Test content:

1. Compression/Decompression

This version is a bit slow in this regard, but the first few versions are even slower, perhaps because this is a 64-bit version.

Winrar Test

7-Zip Test

2.Everest

This test performed well. The memory bandwidth has reached a write speed of 9200MB/S to 9500MB/s with a latency of only 56.8 nanoseconds (the role of a 64-bit system).

Everest Test

3.Super Pi Test

Basically similar, but the 7048 version is much faster than Vista 32.

Super Pi Test

4. Hard disk test

Perhaps the relationship of the driver, the result is very poor, and even saw the speed of 22MB /S three times. Oops....

Hard Disk Performance Test

5. Devil May Cry 4

The results are good, but still slower than the previous versions of Windows 7.

Game Test

Conclusion

The latest 64-bit version has not reached the height we imagined, I don’t know what the final version will look like. .
