12 Windows 7 Tips and Tricks

  

In 15 of the best Windows 7 tips and tricks, we saw some basic tips and tricks to unlock the power of the new Windows 7 user interface. In this article, we'll cover other tips to improve usability, enhance performance, and help improve Windows 7 security. 1. Adding a search provider to Windows 7

Windows 7 allows you to search the remote website database from the desktop, using open standards such as open search and RSS. Here are some of the more popular and useful search providers that can be added to Windows 7:

You can install it in Windows7 forums These, as well as other connectors, or get packaged multiple search providers from here.

These search connectors can be used even in Windows normal dialogs, such as the Insert Picture dialog of programs such as PowerPoint. You can even drag and drop Flickr images from the Explorer to your desktop instead of opening any browser.

2. Click on the lock screen

You can use the Win+L shortcut to the main screen. There is another way here, you only need to click the mouse. Right click on the desktop, select New -> shortcut, in the input project location, enter rundll32.exeuser32.dll, LockWorkStation. Click Next, name the shortcut as ‘Quick Lock Screen’ and click Finish.

If you want to make it look better, add a lock or key icon: right-click, select Properties, click the Change icon, type shell32.dll, and select any icon you like. Drag this shortcut to the taskbar and lock it, then you can delete the shortcut on the desktop.

You can format your notes by selecting the text and using a different shortcut. As shown below:

4. Use new attachments

Don't forget to use the improved attachments in Windows 7. Use WordPad to open and save Office 2007 .docx files, or open open document .odt files.

Improved calculators can convert units, as well as calculate data, fuel economy, mortgages, and lease payments.

The drawing board has new brush styles, shapes, and grid support. Both the drawing board and the tablet have a print preview and a Ribbon interface for customizable and real-time format previews.
