Windows 7: Disk Checking and Organizing

  

Regardless of the system, it is essential for disk management and maintenance. The hard disk is like a house, and it must be taken care of every time. Otherwise, the house will become dirty if it is not cleaned, and the hard disk will become messy without maintenance. Various garbage and fragment files will slow down the system. In the Windows 7 system, the inspection, cleaning and defragmentation of the hard disk are also very important. These functions have been improved on the basis of the past. Let's take a look at how to maintain the disk in Windows 7. And take care of it.

Right-click on any disk partition icon and select “Properties'; in the Properties window we can see the familiar interface. In the "General" tab page, we can first do a disk cleanup to get more free space. Click the "Disk Cleanup" button and the Windows 7 Disk Cleaner will automatically start working. The entire scanning, calculation, and analysis process takes some time, and everyone waits patiently for a while.

In the result screen of the Disk Cleaner, we can see that it analyzes the files that can be deleted. For example, we can analyze the system disk, which can save up to 1.33GB of space. This is a considerable capacity. It can be seen that the cleanup strength of the Windows 7 disk cleaner is still very satisfactory. Select the type of file to be cleared in the list, the total amount of disk space that can be obtained in real time is displayed in the interface, and the types of files that can be cleared are also very rich, including the items inherent in the Windows system, and the contents unique to the Windows 7 system. With the Windows 7 Disk Cleaner, we can better check and erase unnecessary files on the hard drive to reduce garbage, save space, and speed up the system.

Go to the “Tools” tab page and we can check the disk. The disk checker is exactly the same as Windows XP, and it's easy to use.

Clicking on “Start Sorting in Defragmentation will take you to the Finishing Tool, which is different in Windows 7. In the defragmentation tool, we can analyze and organize each partition. The biggest difference from Windows XP is that Windows 7 defragmentation tool can analyze and organize two or more partitions at the same time. It has also improved accordingly, which is not possible with Windows XP.

Another major improvement in Windows 7's defragmentation is the built-in defragmentation program. We just click “ The Plan > button will set up the defragmentation schedule. The setting time is very flexible, you can set the monthly and weekly fixed date and time to sort the selected disk partitions, so we don't need to manually defragment the disk, the scheduler automatically completes, let our disk more Order, more efficient.
