Word 2010 can't preview the document under Windows 7

Word has the preview function, click “ File > Open & rdquo;, you can view its contents without opening the document. When you need to find a target document, use this feature to avoid repeatedly opening and closing multiple documents, saving a lot of time.

Fault Description:

However, after upgrading to Office 2010 recently, Word opened the preview but displayed a previewer error and could not preview the Word file.

Even more ridiculous is that the preview of Excel and ppt files is normal. what happened?

Deliberation:

When previewing a file, the system will call the default opener of this file type. When using Word 2010's "Files" to open the ” command, because the Word program has been started, the Word file can no longer be previewed, so an error occurs.

Workaround:

How to solve this problem? Do you have to open a document to find the target file?

No, no! Although opening the preview is not available, you can also preview the file in Windows 7 Explorer.

Open Windows Explorer and on the right side of the toolbar, click the “Show Preview Pane” button.

Find the file you want to preview, click Select, and the preview pane will display the file contents.
