100 series motherboard installation Win7 mouse failure solution

The new generation of Skylake corresponding 100 chipset brings a lot of practical new features, support DDR4 memory, SATA-Express, M.2 interface and so on. but! Yes! It! The original EHCI master is also replaced by the XHCI master. What is this?

I believe that some users who have already started the 100 series chipset have encountered this problem - when installing the win7 system, the mouse/keyboard/U disk connected via the USB interface are all abolished. ..

After some careful investigation, the user is finally dressed up on win8/win10 (Microsoft and Intel look at each other and smile ~ toast!!) - I believe many users are using this method solved.

But some users are still accustomed to using win7 system, then today this small series will give you some small Tips, so that you can use the USB interface of win7 system under the 100 series chipset.

100 series motherboard U disk installed Win7 mouse and keyboard why it failed?

Skylake's generation chipset Intel replaced the EHCI master with the XHCI master, while the Windows 7 system was originally without the XHCI master driver, so the pit was dug up.

Win10 and Win8 are native XHCI drivers, so users who install these two systems don't have to worry about USB failure. In fact, Microsoft is forcing everyone to upgrade small means. And in recent days, Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm have stopped supporting Win10 systems from the next generation CPU. What do you think?

What are the ghosts of EHCI and XHCI?

XHCI (eXtensible Host Controller Interface) is a USB host controller developed by Intel. The USB protocol of this generation of 100 series chips adopts XHCI master control and is oriented to USB 3.0 standard. It is also compatible with devices below 2.0.

The previous generation of Broadwell used EHCI masters, mainly for the 2.0 standard. The native win7 system only has EHCI driver and no XHCI driver, so the consequence is ~ you know.

Whether it is known that the failure is due to the lack of a driver, is it not enough? Certainly, some netizens will say that you are stupid and do so many things! Please don't hesitate to spray Xiaobian~ and take a look at the logic diagram below.

Is there a place to see the cockroaches? If it’s that simple, it’s so good.

But the mouse and keyboard connected via PS/2 can work normally, but there are not many users who use the PS/2 interface on the new platform. Moreover, even if your mouse and keyboard are PS/2 interfaces, the USB interface on the motherboard is still malfunctioning.

But if there is a PS/2 mouse and keyboard, then the problem is solved a lot. After installing the Win7 system, log in directly to the official website of the motherboard brand, and find the corresponding motherboard driver to download and install.

If the keyboard and mouse are not PS/2 interface? Do not panic, please see the next page~

Specific solutions:

Software/hardware tools needed:

1, a computer that can work normally;

2, a USB flash drive with 8GB or more (recommended to backup and empty, at least 5GB space);

3. Win7USB crack tool, can be downloaded, from ASRock official website. (Gigabyte, Asus, and MSI also have their own tools, and the operation methods are similar. The following operations are based on ASRock's tools as an example);

4, Win7 installation ISO image.

Specific Operation Process:

Prepare the above tools and use the computer that works normally to complete the following operations.

Firstly, extract the prepared ISO image to any folder on the hard disk with WinRAR/Good pressure/360 compression/7z decompression tools.

Unzip the downloaded ASRock cracker and run this Win7USBPatcher.

Step 1: Choose here depending on the situation. If you are preparing a USB flash drive, choose the first one. If you have prepared other storage media, choose another one. Since Xiaobian is preparing a USB flash drive, let's choose the first one, Create xxx with a USB device. Then click "Next" in the lower right corner.

Step 2: Then select "Browse", the path below will select the folder where you just saved the ISO file. Click "Next" again.

Step 3: Plug in the prepared USB flash drive, then select the corresponding drive letter of the USB flash drive and continue with “Next”.

Step 4: Make Win7 installation files, just click "Start" to start. Then you just have to wait 5 to 20 minutes (depending on the write speed of the USB flash drive).

After the production is successful, the XHCI driver has been injected into the win7 installation package in your U disk. The next step is the same as the normal installation of the ISO system. I believe I am willing to follow the small series. Step by step, you must be very skilled.
