Win7 and GhostXP dual system installation steps!

Thinkpad X201i notebook original system Win7, want to install xp, but not willing to original win7, so I want to install dual system, online to find a lot of information, originally wanted to install XP under win7, eventually still can't make it, but had to retreat Second, backup the original win7 system, and then all the hard disk partitions are killed, first install xp, and then restore Win7 in other main partitions, and finally succeeded, haha! The installation steps are as follows:

Download the preparation tool before installation:

1, gGhost one-key restore wizard (backup/restore the original Win7 system)

2, driver wizard 2011 (Install xp system such as hardware driver)

3, BCDautofix_V1.0.3 (create selection interface to enter dual system)

Okay, the specific steps are as follows:

1, installation gGhost one-click restore wizard, backup Win7 system.

2, restart into biOS, change the hard disk mode from AHCI to Compatible (or IDE) (otherwise, GhostXP will not be able to find the partition with GhostXP CD or self-starting mobile hard disk)

3, use the self-starting mobile hard disk to enter the WPE system, such as using the PQ7.0 disk partitioning tool to kill all the hard disk partitions, and then establish the 30G C disk XP system main partition and the 40G Win7 system main partition respectively, the other partitions are Logical partition, (installation with GhostXP CD may be convenient, but X201i does not have a CD-ROM drive, I can only use the homemade boot mobile hard disk to install, homemade self-starting mobile hard disk see my other log.) Then use GhostXP installation disk One-click restore restores the GhostXP file to the XP primary partition and reboots.

4. After installing the XP system, install the driver with the driver wizard 2011. Then use the GGhost one-key restore wizard to restore the Win7Ghost file to the reserved Win7 system partition.

5, now still can only enter xp, can not enter win7 system, then use BCDautofix_V1.0.3 software, use it to repair the boot selection interface. After the repair, I found the blue screen when entering the win7 system. Later found the reason is the hard disk mode problem, if you change to AHCI can enter the Win7 system, but into the XP blue screen, changed to Compatible can enter XP, but into the Win7 blue screen.

Two ways to solve the blue screen online, 1, choose AHCI, enter the Win7 system, and then modify the information in the registry, and then restart, but I did not succeed, do not know what the reason, may be set incorrectly.

I choose the second method, 2. Select Compatible, enter the XP system, and then download the AHCI driver for the hard disk in the xp system. X201i is to download SATA[6mim35ww] from the official website, and then enter C:\\ DRIVERS\\WIN\\IRST\\PREPARE, double-click install.exe, after installation, restart and then change to AHCI, then both systems can go in.

This dual system is installed, but remember one-click backup, huh, huh!
