In Win8, the 64-bit version of IE10

is used by default. In 64-bit Windows 8, Modern IE10 uses 64-bit by default (the previous Metro style has been renamed to Modern), because IE10 in Modern cannot install any plug-ins, only the Flash plug-in is installed by default. . For the desktop version of IE10, the default operation is 32-bit because of the plug-in. If you want to open the desktop version of 64-bit IE10, you can refer to the following steps.
1. Open the desktop version of IE10, click the gear button and select Internet Options;
2, go to the Advanced Settings tab in the Internet Options window that opens;
3, scroll down and find Enable Enhanced Protection Mode* Options;

4. Check this option and click Apply → OK, then restart your computer.
You can use the desktop version of IE10's 64-bit mode after rebooting, but this may cause some IE plugins to not work properly, and may even cause Internet Banking to be unusable. If you don't have any requirements for plugins, the 64-bit version of IE10 will be better than 32-bit.
