Although you can install the application directly from the Windows Store, you cannot install the application on the desktop of Windows RT. The Office Home and Student 2013 RT Preview is a pre-installed application 2 that provides you with the latest touch-optimized desktop versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
You can only install printers, mice, keyboards, and other devices that have been verified with Windows RT.
