Many Win8 users use Word to edit text, which is the process of modifying Word files. But if Word is read-only, it means that the word file cannot be modified. What is the reason? How to solve the Win8 system Word file as the default read-only file?

Cause Analysis

1. Permission issue, need to add super administrator rights to the registry file, tried invalid.

2. Because the file format is too old, it is in 2003 format, Win8 does not support, you want to save all files to the latest format.

Solution

1. First open the Run dialog box, you can use Win+ R, enter netplwiz, and press Enter. Figure:
