How to get back the Win8 system hibernation option

There is no hibernation related option in the default power options in Win8.

And using Alt+F4 to see the Windows option under the Aero interface, there is still no sleep.

Win+R input gpedit.msc command is consistent with Win7.

Then go to the Group Policy screen and select “Computer Configuration>,“Administrative Templates>,“Windows Components”.

Then look for "Windows Explorer" again, there is a strategy marked in English in this branch, which means to show hibernation in the power options: <;Show hibermate in the power options menu” , as usual, change it to “enabled”.

Force a refresh of the previous group policy settings, win+X select “ command prompt (admin) & rdquo;.

Enter “gpupdate /force”.

Turning on the power management interface again, it turns out that the long-lost hibernation option has appeared.

I tried the hibernation option, but it seems to have entered the restart interface and did not sleep. What is the reason for this? Is there a device that prevents attempts to hibernate? Perhaps for this reason, Win8 hides the hibernate option by default.

Since this is the case, check to see which device is blocking sleep or affecting hibernation.

Continue to use win+X to select “Command Prompt (Administrator)” and enter “powercfg /devicequery wake_armed”.

Viewing devices that support wake-up from hibernation has one, mouse. Modify it to not let it wake up the computer, the computer can finally sleep under Win8.
