Win8.1 restores all folders default view settings

We usually look at the various files to choose the display mode according to their own preferences, such as pictures with large icons, word documents with detailed information, etc. Wait. But the machine has been used for a long time, and the way of many folder views has become a bit messy. The method of making changes one by one is too unrealistic, we can choose to restore all folder view settings.

There is no reset button in the Win8 system. To achieve this, you need to modify the registry. However, before the modification, it is best to back up the registry first, so as to avoid unnecessary troubles caused by misuse. The backup registry can be implemented by the cleanup master of the soft media cube.

the following steps:

1, input regedit in the Start menu search bar or after the transport operation, open the registry editor;

2, the positioning to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ Software \\ Classes \\ Local Settings \\ Software \\ Microsoft \\ Windows \\ Shell;

3, delete Bags term;

4, and then navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ Software \\ Microsoft \\ Windows \\ Shell;

5, the same Bags delete items;

6, and finally locate the HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ Software \\ Microsoft \\ Windows \\ ShellNoRoam;

7, or delete the Bags item (if it exists);

8, restart the file manager explorer.exe, can be achieved with the soft media Rubik's "quick command".

After completing the above steps, the folder view in your system is restored to its original state. To restore the state before the modification, restore the previously backed up registry.
