Windows8.1 extended partition method

Click the "Start" menu, find the "command prompt" from the attachment, right click and select "Run as administrator"Open the Command Prompt window, Enter the "diskpart" command to enter the DISKPART state, then follow the steps below:

1. Select the physical disk

Enter "select disk N" select the physical disk, here " N" represents the first few physical hard drives. If you want to operate on the first physical hard disk, you should enter "select disk 0", and so on.

2.Create an extended partition

Enter the "create partition extended" command, the system will automatically create an extended partition after execution, all the free space behind the primary partition will be occupied. When you are done, you can exit the command prompt and no longer have to enter the commands to create a logical partition, because the system uses all of the extended partitions to create a logical partition. Ok, now go to the "Computer Management & Rarr; Disk Management" window and you will find the extended partition that has been created. Right-click and select "New Simple Volume", and the "New Simple Volume Wizard" will pop up (ie create a logical partition), and follow the wizard's prompt to specify the size of the simple volume. The next operation is very good. Easy
