Win8.1 Control Panel does not have BitLocker solution

A Win8.1 system user recently wanted to use the BitLocker service, but entered the control panel and found that there is no BitLocker. Other people's Win8.1 system has, how can he not have this one?

Solution

First step, check your computer system version

If it is the core version (Single language version is a core version), don't think about it, it doesn't have this kind of function, only the enterprise version and the professional version.

The second step, check if the BitLocker service is turned on

If you press the Win+R key combination, enter "ldquo;services.msc" in the run command input box and press Enter. Find the BitLocker Drive Encryption Service on the interface and see if the service is started. If not, double-click the service. In the BitLocker Drive Encryption Service (local computer) property interface, set the startup type to automatic and then confirm.

BitLocker is still very useful. If you want to see how it works, you can refer to the Win10 How to Enable Bitlocker Drive Encryption tutorial on Win8.
